Integrating technology into the curriculum has provided numerous possibilities for educators to create interactive and engaging learning opportunities for students. Students can use technology tools to improve their creative, communication, and collaborative skills. One tool that can help to expand students’ knowledge and skills is a blog. Blogging can be incorporated across the different disciplines of the curriculum. Blogging is a great way for learners to collaborate, improve writing skills, and master content (Sahin-Topalcengiz & Yildirim, 2020; Pappas, 2013). Educators can provide opportunities for struggling writers to use this platform to publish their writing and get feedback and comments through constructive criticism from their peers. Abdul Kadir & Tasir (2020) stated that blogging can be used for publishing and sharing students' work, collaboration, support, and as a reflective tool.

Blogging as a Collaborative Tool

To promote collaboration in the classroom, blogging can be used as a platform where students work in groups to present projects or assignments. Through collaborative efforts, students are able to share ideas and information that will benefit the entire class and in doing so assist in achieving goals and objectives.

Blogging as a Reflective Tool

Self-reflection is a useful strategy used to analyze personal growth and development. Reflective learners think deeply about where they are in the learning process, where they want to go, and what they have to do to get there. Educators can provide opportunities for students to reflect on their learning through a class blog. By asking self-assess questions geared toward reflection, blogging provides a safe place for students to identify their strengths and weaknesses and set goals for improvement.

Blogging as a Publishing Tool for Student Work

Blogging provides a platform for students to showcase peer or individual work. They can share ideas through writing and multimedia presentations. Sharing their work with others helps to build self-confidence and self-expression in struggling writers. Publishing opens the door for discussions, questions, and clarifications about the information presented.
